Steeplechase help please!

Hi All,

Loving this game so far but I am having real problems with the Steeplechase.

I'm doing a turbo start and using momentum on the last stretch but I seem to always come 4th with a best time of 39.176

Because of this I can't get past Medium, Group 4

Is there a technique to the jumps or am i just not going quick enough?

Are you pressing the button twice?

Note that, when approaching an obstacle after jumping, you have to jump on it AGAIN, that means that for each obstacle you jump twice!
